Robert A. (Bob) Williams

Robert A. (Bob) Williams, 85, of Valdosta passed away Monday, February 5, 2018. He was born in Birmingham, AL on August 5, 1932 to the late Horace and Louise Harting Williams. Mr. Williams served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. After retirement from the Air Force, he served the Valdosta City School System as Purchasing Director for 21 years. He was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Williams of Valdosta; sons, Dale (Deanna) Williams of Valdosta, Jack (Ashley) Williams of Folkston, Steven Williams of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter, Carol (Toby) Ingram of Willoughby Hills, OH; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother, Tom (Rosa) Williams of Kingwood, TX; sister, Miriam Cook of Birmingham, AL; sister in law, Barbara Williams of Westerville, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Horace Williams and Earl Williams.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 9, 2018 at Park Avenue United Methodist Church. Reverend Hale Bishop will officiate. A private inurnment will be held at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Georgia Sheriff’s Boys Ranch, 5671 GA Hwy 122 E, Hahira, GA 31632.
