Obituary for Peggy Chambers Ussery

Peggy Chambers Ussery, 73, of Valdosta died Sunday, October 29, 2017 at her home. She was born on July 16, 1944 in Valdosta to the late William R., Sr. and Alice Cherry Chambers. Mrs. Chambers was a Baptist. She enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her family, Lowndes Viking and Florida State Football.
Survivors include her husband, James F. Ussery of Valdosta; two sons and two daughters in law, Charles Ussery of Waycross, GA, Chester and Grace Ussery of Jesup, GA, Renee Ussery of Jesup, GA; three daughters and two sons in law, Cheryl and Randy Smith of Valdosta, Charlotte Dominey of Jesup, GA, Cherrie and Eric Thompson of Herndon, VA; 17-grandchildren and many great grandchildren; two brothers and a sister in law, Frank and Dot Chambers of Valdosta, Albert Chambers of Statenville. She was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Ussery, two grandsons, Eric Ussery and James Ussery, two sisters, Martha Brogan and Ruth Stowell and four brothers, J. B. Chambers, Harvey Chambers, Bill Chambers, J. S. Mathis.
Graveside services will be held at 1pm, Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Lake Park Cemetery with Rev. Earl Justice officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10am-12pm at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home, 3119 W. Marion Ave, Lake Park, GA 31636. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
