Matthew Allen Wiest, 33, of Lake Park died Sunday, August 19, 2018. He was born in Valdosta and a lifelong resident of this area. Matthew was employed with Jones Welding.
Survivors include his mother, Beth Skipper of Lake Park; his father, Stephen John Wiest, Jr. of Tampa, FL; stepfather, Lee Vann of Valdosta; his sisters, Tila Skipper-Resendiz of Ocala, FL, Jessica Skipper of Statenville, GA, Nina Veldt of Spokane, WA, Madison West of Albany, GA; his grandmothers, Mary Snell of Cecil, GA; Margaret Wiest of Philadelphia, PA; his nephews, Jacob Avila, Alexander Resendiz, Justin Starnes; his uncles, Greg Martinez and Matt Martinez; aunt; Mary Frances Montgomery; his stepsister, Lynn Brown and stepbrother, Bubba Vann.
