Madeline Dasher Harden, 83, of Valdosta, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Madeline was born in Naylor, Georgia, on June 28, 1934 to the late Tommy and Lilly Harnage Bennett. She was employed by Levi Strauss as a supervisor. She attended Lake Park Christian Church where she loved to sing southern gospel church hymns. She loved camping in the mountains, collecting rocks, and embroidering. She enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Madeline is survived by her husband Larry Joe Harden of Valdosta, her sons Walter T. (Becky) Dasher of Valdosta, and Wendell (Wanda) Dasher of Lake Park, her step sons Robert (Ivy) Harden of Kodak, TN, and Roger (Shana) Harden of Fayetteville, her three grandchildren Stephaney (Charles) Davis, Jeb (Jesica) Dasher, and Brandi (Randy) Wisenbaker, and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Julian Remer Dasher, and two brothers Ernest Bennett, and Virgil Bennett.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Lonnie Grant and Mr. Glenn Everett officiating.
