Evelyn Mcdonald Kirkland

Evelyn McDonald Kirkland, of Valdosta, passed away on August 17, 2018. Born on October 29, 1924, she was the daughter of Lynn and Lattice McDonald of Hazlehurst. Evelyn was a homemaker and successfully raised seven children, Ben, Larry (Deborah), Paul (Donna), Ronald (Gladys), Donald, Alan (Vickie) and Kay Smith (Jerry). She leaves a special friend, Jeanne Eanes, a special granddaughter, Melissa Kirkland, many grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, August 20, 2018, at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, 3314 Sutton Road, Pearson, Georgia. Pastor Wayne Hughes will officiate. Mrs. Kirkland will be interred next to her husband of 62 years, Norman. Visitation will be on Sunday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
