At McLane Funeral Services, we strive to be a source of caring and comfort for our families before, during and after the funeral. The grieving process is unique for each individual. We have created this area of our web site as one tool that our families and visitors may use as they deal with their grief. In this section we have consolidated different types of grief resources, many of which are available on-line:
- Talking To Children About Death: a brochure published by Selected Independent Funeral Homes based on material prepared by child bereavement expert, Maria Trozzi, M.Ed., for parents, relatives and other adults who have an opportunity to help bereaved children and adolescents.
- Dr. Wolfelt's Grief Library: a complete library of writings on dealing with grief, including specific topics on grieving children and teenagers, grieving for care givers and helping others heal.
- Local Support Groups: a listing of support groups in the Valdosta, Hahira and Lake Park areas.
- National Grief Resources: a listing of national support groups and associations, with links to their web sites.
